As others have said, this is a 4 site primitive campground with trash, pit privy and a beautiful location. There is an excellent hike up the canyon to the remains of an adobe cabin. No ATT. No water.

Incredible place. Four camp sites. Put toilets. No water. Must have reservations. Hiking trails and beautiful views. I will be back. I could only stay one night and after that it was booked up for two months.

Such a gorgeous little campground! If you love the quiet, this place is vastly better than the huge main campground (207 closely spaced sites at Twin Peaks, vs 4 well-spread out sites here). No fires allowed, no water, but a super clean pit toilet and animal-proof garbage bins. There’s a grill and a picnic table per site. Ground is pretty rocky, so if tent camping, several ground sheets are good. I had a thick ground sheet, a lighter weight tarp, and a large blanket under my tent to protect from possible puncture.
I was blown away by how green and lush this desert is compared to the Kofa area. The area is simply stunning, I had not expected it to be so nice. Wound up spending 4 nights instead of 2, just didn’t want to leave! Visitors Center is closed on Tues, Wedn currently. Fee is still $12/night. A bargain for a chance to hang out in this beautiful location.

Indeed a beautiful camp with only 4 sites - be early as it is popular and the sites been taken quickly. Still $12 with self registration. Pit toilet, grill (bring your own wood), picknick benches. NO water! An easy walk follows beside the river bed (2hour return). We stayed two nights and loved it

Hard to find without GPS since there’s no sign for turnoff.

Cute primitive camping. 4 sites, max 5 people per site, $12. First come first served. Self register.
Clean pit toilet and many trash cans.
Probably popular : went there at 10am and it was full. Did the hike and left.

Situated at trailhead = some traffic.
