Description

MODERATOR NOTE: Description provided by owner.

Please email [email protected] or call using numbers on website for up to date information.

Open since 2008, Camping 120 peso's day/night per person. Hotel rooms from 750 pesos/ day, Picnic 60 peso's per day per person. Includes bathrooms with 1000 foot Toilet paper rolls, please inform staff if ever nearly out), Outside showers, barbecue, a beautiful Filtered Chlorinated pool(using inverter pump so runs quietly 24 hours a day), WIFi, room for tents and motorbikes within fenced area. RV parking in street and parking lot. Electric hookup 1 limited of 15 amps(150 peso's day additional) There are plug ins for cell phones etc. on property included in per person pricing.

There are multiple restaurants surrounding this hotel on 3 sides, all will deliver food to your table or hotel room, normal restaurant hours are to 8pm, Tacos or Hot dogs may be an hour later. A Bar in front of beach beside us is open weekends. You are also welcome to bring your own food or liquor on site as we have no restaurant. (no glass in or by pool however) The beach is sandy, and stretches for miles.

The owners are a semi-retired Canadian and Mexican , we built a 10 room hotel instead of a house at the beach, it covers repair expenses and keeps several locals employed.

Some aspects of the Hotel. It uses solar Pool heater panels to heat the hot water in the hotel. Pool pump and newest air conditioners are all Inverter style to lower electric consumption. Walls and ceiling were built using www.TridiPanel.com type insulated concrete panels. We would gladly add Solar Electric panels when we can find some that can last 20 to 30 years in this Salt Environment and act as a 2nd roof (Gallera) for rain and UV protection but to date the best has been electricity conservation.

WiFi is available due to a local internet provider placing a tower on our hotel to provide signal to locals. We also pay for this service but it saved us the cost of tower. While fast enough for Streaming video it also is limited by the failings in Tapachula, so if the upstream signal goes down or is saturated so does ours. We have Internet hard wired to every room with 4 WIfi units placed for good signal in the hotel area . Enjoy.

Camping for the night! 120 pesos per person which is a great deal for what you get… full use of pool, bathrooms and wifi. And no one was here even so we had the place to ourselves! Cute little town, friendly locals!

Stayed with our Kombi on the parking lot, we were able to connect electricity and use the pool, outdoor shower and toilets. The day we arrived was a bit noise because a local Mexican family stayed there. Because is whas really hot or in the morning or in the evening we decided to move somewhere else after one night.

As the hotel has no restaurant there are multiple restaurants surrounding this hotel on 3 sides, all will deliver food to your table or hotel room if you want to splurge. You are also welcome to bring your own food or liquor on site for your use. (no glass in or by pool however) The beach is sandy, and stretches for miles. One should exercise caution for Rip Tides when swimming, I suggest waist deep. Wave boards seem to be more the way than surf boards for this area, though both are available at the hotel.

The owners are retired Canadian and Mexican , we built a 10 room hotel instead of a house at the beach to be comfortable, it covers repair expenses and keeps a few locals employed. King Size Bed,Rooms in 2020 are $750 pesos, with Orthopedic Mattress, air conditioning and ceiling fans. Double Queen beds are $900 peso's night to sleep 4 with savings by week and month.

Another beautiful point of this area is that one is a hour from Tacana Mountain. A list of area attractions, waterfalls, hot springs etc. is at www.Tapachula.info. Kindly add any that I've missed there. This provides the area with a Tropical Vancouver atmosphere at 1/10 to 1/20 the price of Vancouver for those looking to live here but be aware that Mexico only allows ownership via bank trusts to foreigners within 50 kilometers of beach or 100 kilometers of borders, and they should only consider properly titled land, avoiding ejido land as it is not titled.

WiFi is available due to a local internet provider placing a tower on our hotel to provide signal to individual houses. We also pay for this service but it saved us the cost of tower. While fast enough for Streaming video it also is limited by the failings in Tapachula, so if the upstream signal goes down or is saturated so does ours.

Pool water is taken from a deeper well and about 4000 parts per million salt water. Tap water is shallow well and about 550 up to 1200 ppm during dry season. Max for human consumption is considered 500 ppm. Tapachula water by comparison is about 140 -150 parts per million which is better than when I am in rural Canada where it was about 200 ppm. Large 20 litre containers of water you buy in Mexico are the same ppm, basically bottled tap water unless mentioning Reverse Osmosis or purity on label, such as "Agua Crystal" has done, be aware) . Mexico cube ice is normally Reverse Osmosis water.

There is also the near by Marina Chiapas for Yachts and fishing excursions or Laguna Pozuelos for local Pampa tours.

Enjoy.
