Best place so far!! Except the toilets ;) we were the only visitors and had a nice horse with us spending the night. Plus lots of monkeys (howling loud at sunrise), butterflies, frogs and an opossum. Big plus: the river access!!

Pitched our tent at this campground. Generally pretty muddy since it was raining but there were grassy spots where our tent would have fit. They offered us to put our tent under the big palapa which we did.
Cold shower, toilet, potable water and some electric outlets around - all you need. As a plus they have access to the gorgeous river for swimming. Very friendly people.
Paid 3000 colones ppn sleeping in our tent.

Very beautiful spot. Getting here from #4 north to south, the road was very rough but doable at slow speed. Paid 4000col pp/pn to camp in our rooftop tent. Beautiful river/stream steps from camping area, we enjoyed a nice swim. Only camper here on last Friday in May just before rainy season. The bathrooms and showers are good, there is electricity, running water and several covered areas for shade or rain protection. There is also wifi at the restaurant. Check out our YouTube channel for video review.

Great place. Rio Celeste is in your back yard do to speak. Friendly people and a nice location.

Ok for the night. Biggest pro is the river, campground mostly muddy (only a small path with gravel to park) and bathrooms not so clean. Better wash in the river
Has some palapas where you can sit when it’s rains (I guess for tents but not very level)
Paid 4000 colones pp/pn

Park on the gravel in the rainy season, camping area gets very muddy. But other than that a great spot. Dog friendly, swimming in the beautiful Rio Celeste and a nice trail to explore. DIY frog tour along the same trail when it's dark!

We stayed one night here. We had a nice traditional Costa Rican lunch and felt welcomed by everyone. There is a sizable camping field with several parking options, but unfortunately none are really ideal for rainy season as far as trying to avoid being surrounded by mud. The bathrooms were clean and toilet paper was provided. We didn’t use the shower. The highlight was the short staircase down to the beautiful river. Caspian was able to wade in the water and build a tiny dam. He had a lot of fun. We would’ve stayed longer were it not for the mud. Maybe we’re softies, but rainy season is long and mental health is real, y’all.

Great little spot, right along the river. They offer different tours and river tubing and best of all for us, they allow pets in the camping area. There is a shower, bathrooms and little shelters to set up under. It's not huge, but it's quiet, right on the river and the owners are super nice. There are cabins to rent as well, camping is $8 USD per person. Within 5 minutes of our arrival, Mirlin, the guard and guide in the camping area showed us a sleeping sloth mama and her baby! They have a restaurant on-site. Bring bug repellent you're going to need it!

Campground is small but nice. Right along the river, it has bathrooms, no toilet paper, and a cold water shower. Water spigot at the little ranchero, within 5 minutes of arriving, Mirlin (the guard and guide) showed is a sloth mama with her baby, right at the campground, not a 50meter walk from where we parked. It's quiet and surrounded by nature. You can swim in the river or book a tour here and do some canopy tours or tubing. They have various activities to choose from. The camping is $8USD per person per night. They have cabins onsite for rent as well. The campground is pet friendly, I don't know about the cabins.

Nice stop and opportunity to swim in the river. We stayed here for one night, quite, safe, friendly owners, spotty Wifi...

Great relaxed spot, can be crowded in the weekends but at night everyone leaves. In the jungle you can spot many animals (we've seen sloths, poison dart frogs, birds). River is cold, facilities clean.

Stayed here for 1 night in our 4x4 with roof tent. Toilets and shower basic but the real draw for this site are the steps down to the river. We bathed and had a peaceful evening watching fireflies. The owners speak little english but made us a delicious vegan Cassada on request, even though the onsite cafe was closed for the evening.

We stayed two nights before going to the Rio Celeste. The owner is very nice. We paid 3,000 colons per person. Shower and toilet on site and place to make a fire. You have the blue water river just in front of the campsite for swimming. The place is quiet and nice. You have a restaurant and activities offered next to the campsite with the same owner

Great place to camp in a forest clearing on the bank of Rio Celeste. covered areas for rainy days, toilets and cold showers not the cleanest but ok, far better to wash in the river. The restaurant and cabinas are far enough away that you don't get disturbed, just a few folks walking through to get to the river. 4k per person, but well worth it.
