Official checkpoint. We were headed south and weren't stopped. Waved through, no issue.

Drove straight through Northbound. Didn’t see anyone manning the checkpoint.

Got pulled over in my big truck camper. Friendly policemen. Just asked standard questions and liked to see my paperwork. he asked me for money for a coffe. i gave him 7 pesos and he let me go

Just asked for documentation and what we were in Mexico for. That’s it, then on our way with a smile (headed south)

they were friendly but our car was PACKED and they straight up told my husband to slip them $20 usd and we could be on our way

Passed through here today south bound. There was a slow down but we were not stopped. We are rolling in an 87 4runner with Cali plates and after reading the last entry we were ready to be extorted but it was chill.

It's a fixed checkpoint, I was going South but they also seemed to check the northboubd traffic. They saw I was a solo traveler and took their chance...pulled me aside, asked for Id, drivers license, dog documents just to tell me "if you don't want that we take your car apart you should give us something".. He was happy with 50 pesos.. Unfair but cheap way to avoid more stress..
