SA -> Botswana

Easy and friendy border crossing. However, there no customs on SA side to stamp out the Carnet. In the end, the police lady kindly stamped it out for me, but I wouldn't take that for granted. I don't know about customs on Botswana side (I didn't stamp in my Carnet). On Botswana side, 390 pula road taxes for a motorcycle (card payment possible).

The last ~110km road from SA side are gravel. The first ~70km of that in average condition, then the condition gets a bit worse (corrugated and sandy sections). Good tarmac road on Botswana side.

Very easy border crossing. Friendly staff on both sides. Payed road taxes and 3rd part insurance on Botswana side.

470 poula for a 1997 land rover discovery.

You can pay by card.
No Carnet de Passage needed on both sides.
Customs checked the car on south africa side.
The road to come SA to Botswana is a bad gravel road. 50% corrugated.
Botswana side its a good tarmacked road with some potholes.

Very easy crossing and friendly staff on both the South African and Botswana sides. Paid insurance and road tax for 3 months on Botswana side. We were the only people at the crossing. Black top road with a few potholes on Botswana side, well graded gravel on South African side.
