Something not right?

Description

I was on a solo bike tour from Ecuador to Ushuaia. On today’s ride, I saw no accommodation until Huatajata (68-70 km). This had several expensive tourist hotels ($50 - $90) which I avoided. Hotel Titicaca at 75.9 km was similar. It was nearly empty but the guy would not drop the price below the standard 280 BOB (about $41). I continued on to Huarina and decided to stay at its only hospedaje (81.3 km). I stayed here for 1 night. Although basic, it had a hot shower in the bathroom next door to my room. This was spacious. As no sheets were provided I decided to pitch my tent above a mattress and pillow which I had first placed on the floor. (This was to keep out bedbugs). I slept fine in my sleeping bag.

This was a worthwhile if basic place to stay. Nice family. Pros: Very good value for 25 BOB ($3.50), plus 5 BOB for large table and chair. Large room 1 floor up with 2 bunk beds and 1 plain bed. OK lighting, 220V outlet. Space to pitch my tent. Shared bathroom next door. On-demand hot shower, sink, TP, soap, mirror. Bike stayed in courtyard. Cute 5 yr old Alice. (She brightened my day). Cons: no sheets, only blankets, so I pitched my tent and slept in my sleeping bag. (I had a good night). No towel.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed there for one night, manage to 25 p.p. Hot shower, shared bathroom, good beds and surprisingly good WiFi. Large garage to storage the bike. Friendly onwer.
Only bad point is that the restaurants are a little bit far from it (not a lot of options but still).
Definitely recommend if you want to split your trip from la Paz to Copacabana.

Still here, as described although beds don’t seem as bad as OP. 30BOB per night, large courtyard for bikes and I was able to set up my stove to cook outside. Now has wifi.
