Latest Check-Ins

At first, when we arrived at the gate, it seemed nobody was there and the doorbell of the reception wasn't answered. However, after sending a WhatsApp message to the number mentioned on the sign, the owner confirmed that we were welcome to camp with our motorhome. The RV park is located at the back of the cabañas; during daytime you have a panoramic view of the Magellanic Strait. Alejandro is a really nice guy who let us use the toilet and hot shower of a cabaña that wasn't rented out (so we didn't get to see the dirty toilet that the other reviews prepared us for). We declined the offer for an electricity hook-up but did use the water hose to fill up our tank. The RV park is located very conveniently for taking the early ferry to Tierra del Fuego, as the Tres Cruces terminal is only an 8-minute drive away. Payment was cash-only when we came, 20.000 pesos for a motorhome and two people.

Cabanas and campground with a view over the Magellan street. The owner is very friendly. Bad service, as Alejandro admits, no shower, no potable water, no WiFi. So he charges 15.000 Pesos, still quite expensive, but there's not much offer in Punta Arenas area. Great Claro signal, tough, with 4G 😉

We went there to ask for a place with the van. He told us that there were no showers and showed us only a dirty toilet. There is also no wifi (there is at the office, but he said there wasn't). Asked 15000. We thought this was to much for just a dirty toilet and left.

At the moment there is no bathroom, so only possible for campervan with own facilities. Place is small, but looked nice. We couldn’t stay because we don’t have a bathroom aboard. Friendly owner. He is building a new bathroom. The previously mentioned private bathroom was in a cabana that he rent now, so that is not longer an option

Nice location. Very kind owners, Alejandro and Marcela. He spent time with us to explain the history and places to visit in the area. Self-service laundry for 5.000 chp (wash+dry). The place is evolving to RV’s camping area. Definitely recommend!

Lovely place and owners, a bit pricey 20.000 for two in a van. But you get a private bathroom, awesome hot shower, access to the washing machine and dryer and we've been able to use some of his tools to install our solar system. Good place to recover from the cold and wild nights in Patagonia!

The ONLY real campground in Punta Arenas and what a blessing it was to find it ! The project is not done yet but Alejandro and Marcela have a wonderful spot and are fabulous hosts ! They could not have been more accommodating. We paid 20,000 CLP for two with all facilities included as noted below. A good deal for Patagonia given the remoteness and lack of other options. There is lots of room here for rigs of all sizes and you have access to water, electricity and both a very clean toilet and shower with hot water. They have a large washer (2500/load) and dryer ( 2500/load ) which you can use yourself. As guests have been few and far between during Covid there is no Wi-Fi at present but I know Alejandro is planning to install it as soon as things get back to normal. Absent the Wi-Fi you still have very good cell phone reception here if you have data. They have the cutest dogs who will give you lots of love and attention and both of them speak English and have done some travelling themselves. We only stayed one night as we had a ferry to catch the next day but if we were to return to Punta Arenas we would come right back here ! Should you have a need to totally escape the high winds they have reasonably priced cabanas as well. One of our favourite places.
