Place next to the beginning of the 40 Mile Desert. Can be reached from the North access road with any Car even with Trailer. But no Big Rigs. South access road only for 4x4 with high clearance because of some wash outs. Very quiet, good for stargazing. Excellent cell service.

Quiet spot! We woke up to a family of antelope visiting nearby. Saw a sweet red and brown lizard too.
Report Check-Instayed 2 nights - all alone, which is perfect! you are far enough away from the trains and highway so you can hardly hear either. T-Mobile hotspot works here & good Verizon too. the road in is not long, we took the northern route in. great place for our dog to run around.
Report Check-InThis spot is a hidden gem! We accidentally took the south road to start and quickly realized it was the 4WD road so we turned around and found the northern route which was definitely 2WD friendly. It’s a 15 min drive on gravel but completely doable with most rigs. We stayed 2 nights and had the whole place to ourselves. Great Verizon reception too! There is road noise but not bad. There are also trains that come by but they aren’t that noisy. Highly recommended this spot!
Report Check-InWide open space worth staying every time! Coming from the east, I took the 95 exit (one exit after what GPS says) then make a left onto a road after the parking lot/rest stop. Drove in until I found flat land to camp just off of the dirt road to the right, after I passed another dirt road that heads towards the mountains.
Basically, big land, camp responsibility wherever you want but choosing more rocks means harder surface, less rocks is soft dirt.
Report Check-InSpent a night here in this vast space with no one around. Amazing stars on a clear night and perfect tmobile service. Freeway noise and train going by far away enough to be muffled. Came from the east and took the exit suggested by Google maps which leads tp a 7 mile flat gravel road to 2 miles of off road path that a car can do-take it slow. RV’s can do it but you can also camp earlier in the offroad path. Left the other way which would be the way in from Reno-road got bad, washed out, but with 4x4 and towing a teardrop low clearance, i was able to make my way out. I’d come back again for the stars and hopefully during a meteor shower. Clean space with rock fire rings, I didn’t have to pick up any trash 👍

Report Check-InRemote place not far from the Interstate 80 - Acces from North is good with 2WD, South only for 4WD.
Excellent cell service.
