Southwest Shore Campground is one of 2 primative Forest Service campgrounds located on the South shore of Phillips Lake. This campground is open May - Sept and has a warm open pine tree setting. Due to low water levels it is no longer near the shore of the lake. Great spread out campground with 16 tent/RV sites. There are many sites big enough for large trailers and no issue getting in and out with large rigs. One site in particular was gigantic and could hold several trailers. Picnic tables at each site and vault toilet in campground. On SW end of the lake and only 1/2 mile on decent gravel road to the campground after leaving pavement. $10, or $5 with Federal Senior Pass.
