Grumpy Bear | Showers

This is a PCT campground/stopover, but if you ask the owners, you can car camp in the parking lot overnight or go to the Kennedy Meadows Campground a mile down the road.
Grumpy's has a restaurant and bar. Free WiFi, free tent camping for hikers, free laundry, free outdoor showers with one temperature but it's warm, bathrooms with running water. We're off grid so generators go off at night, no access to showers, etc once the generators go off. Please consider donating in the jar inside or at least just go have a burger and a beer for the stay. Scott and Kendra are amazing. ❤️

NOT FREE SHOWERS. 4$/ shower. at 2:00 p.m the kitchen was close. we didnt see free water and the witress didnt say if the laundry was free

We didn't use the Grumpy Bear because it days that there are no gas station on the road for next 90mil and we were nearly out of gas. But on their website it says that shower,laundry, camping is still available. You can even have letters or packages send to them. Says not, if it's still free though.

Grumpy Bear Tavern staff kindly said we could stay in the carpark or informal campground set up close by with toilets. We really enjoyed the beers and food which were reasonably priced. Access to WiFi ($2 for 2 hours/$5 for 8 hours), free hot showers, laundry and drinkable water.

Nice tavern with free water for refilling, free laundry and free shower. If you ask the owners, they’ll let you sleep in your vehicle in the car park in front of the tavern. Mostly used by hikers on the PCT, food portions are huge and their grumpy burger is great!
