Something not right?

Description

It's on BLM Land with an information site and pit toilet without running water. Some picnic areas with space to camp byside. Very green and clean area. Quiet. A river is passing through all that picnic areas. We passed the picnic area along the river and came to a peaceful grassy place at the end of the dirt road. Stayed 2 nights. Was cold in the nights.

Many fire pits.

The original campsite is wonderful but seems to fill in pretty quick on the weekends. I got here at 4pm on a Friday and there were families in the two largest spots. Every campsite I saw had a fire pit of some sort. There were 4 sites on the right of the bridge and 2/3 just across. The first 2 you can see immediately when you pull in, the third doesn’t really have water access and is kinda in the dirt, and the last one is a little more difficult to get to. It looks like there’s a trail past the 4th site but there isn’t, so there was a decent amount of traffic(3-5 cars) driving by to check out the last spot and then turning around. If these are filled there are so many other options in the area, follow the road past this campsite and look for worn down paths, there were a ton of great views. Also there are other campsites off Blackfoot Reservoir Rd.

You turn onto gravel 13 miles from the campsite and that was where I lost service. Pack everything you could need before coming in, because leaving is a pain but very worth it.

The campsites are close enough that you don’t feel completely deserted but very little noise carries over the sound of the creek rushing by.

Lovely campground! Empty when I went on a Thursday night. Definitely a drive, about an hour from Blackfoot. The dirt road has some washboard sections, but other than that it drove pretty well! Campground has a few developed sites with picnic tables and fire rings, if you keep going past the outhouse the road gets rutted out and pretty bad, but if you have a truck there are a few more secluded primitive spots farther down the river. Excellent river side evening!

Prepare for a long trek in on gravel roads. Worth it. Stunning views!!!

Zero Sprint service. But the river was calming, and the section with the four spots has the bathroom. Prepare for a bumpy ride, but enjoy the scenery.

Awesome little gem. Turned left at base of camp site and stayed to the left and found this spot. Two camp spots here with tables and fire rings. River rapids just steps away
