Latest Check-Ins

Exactly as described - good space btwn anyone else via large bush - enclosed toilets at entrance - have to cross the cattle guard at the gate - we arrived after a fresh snow fall and have to test drive the road/snow/mud w my Jeep before driving our Skoolie in.
Yes there is some regular shooting to the southeast (quite a ways in the distance), not I’m the direct area and have felt safe

A few other vans campers, and a Skoolie family as far a our neighbors on and off over the last 10days

Also if into off-roading as we did with our Jeep, lots of routes around!

Highly recommend overall - closest boondocking to Santa Fe as its about 20m to most everything in town - super dark w great star gazing

This place is exactly as described, and easily accessible with a low-clearance vehicle!

I didn’t check out the amenities as I just rolled in for a night or two but I haven’t seen much out here. It’s essentially a large flat area with enough bushes around that it really is pretty private, even though there were a decent amount of people camped here last night. I didn’t have any noise complaints nor did I feel exposed. I was able to set my tent up under some bushes to somewhat protect me from the wind and rain (and anchor my tent) as well! I think you can see the lights of Santa Fe off in the distance which is a nice view, nothing spectacular for sure.

Really nice dispersed area. lots of room, yes to break the breeze. Caution: don't sucker yourself into taking 62 out from town. Take Caja del Rio past the golf course and then take 62. The 'direct route' is the worst washboard I've ever driven!
