Description

Camping at a county park. $5 per night. Three night limit. Self-pay boxes.

There are numerous places along the river for tent camping. There is a big parking lot where you can also overnight in your vehicle.

Ther is more camping past the visitor center about a quarter mile down a poorly maintained dirt road. We made it in our cargo van but the road is rough. In this area there are sites with metal fire rings and picnic tables.

The visitor center has WiFi. We spent one night in one of the dirt road sites and were able to get a weak connection to the wifi. We spent the next two nights in the parking lot where the connection was much better.

The river is beautiful. Lots of people come her to fish and boat. There is a petroglyph trail. Restrooms with running water at the visitor center.

There is potable water but all we could find is a drinking fountain - nothing to fill up your tanks.

Latest Check-Ins

I arrived slightly after 10pm, following a drive through quaint neighborhoods. Upon arrival, I encountered several RVs and people happily socializing. I chose a parking spot next to the boat launch, though I slightly regretted that decision as the noise from boats being launched at odd times was a bit disruptive. However, the place is well-maintained, and the staff members are welcoming and helpful. It's definitely a fantastic location for fishing as well.
No service for T-Mobile or AT&T. There is limited wifi access near the visitor center

There are lots of spots to park an rv or trailer for up to 3 nights (within 30 days). The spots for overnight is $5/ night. The trash is switched out everyday and has one of the cleanest pit toilets I’ve seen! The spot is beautiful and peaceful and great for fishing!

Lots and lots of tent and RV spots. $5 honor system, but no entrance fee. Right along the river and with trails leading to the bird sanctuary. So, so beautiful. Toilets available.

$5 parking in the asphalt lot of the park. If you go past the park you can camp for free. It’s a rough road but managed with a 45’ toy hauler. Mostly level. It was quiet but you’ve really got to love the smell of cow poo to stay more than one night.

Great spot on the Snake River just south of Boise. Parking lot and tent camping. Beautiful area.
