Something not right?

Description

A handful of designated sites with fire rings on the lake side of road. Take the North entrance off highway 30, it’s an easier drive in with any vehicle. The site entrances are sometimes a little chunky, but doable in a cargo van or smaller. Wouldn’t bring a trailer or RV in though! Beautiful lake views.

1 bar Verizon 4G service.

Beautiful area. There are a few spots right on the water and a few on the other side of the road. Very quiet, only saw one car drive past.

Nice spot for free camping! Surprised to see a couple of sites taken on a Monday in Sept. There are signs saying not to camp outside of designated sites. The sites are numbered and we only saw 5 numbered spots. We stayed at #5 right next to the lake. It’s a decent size but it took some maneuvering to get our 170 WB Sprinter in a mostly level place. Lake is beautiful and quiet.

As described an authorized campsite area right alongside a beautiful lake. Water is very clear.

About a dozen good pullouts for camping, all are well separated and area is very treed and shady. Room for small rigs with at least SUV clearance, would be tight for anything but small trailer. Our rig is a pop up truck camper LOA 20’, height of 9’ and no issues.

Set up on #2, plenty of room. Used blocks to level. Stone fire ring. You can hear some traffic noise from Rt30. Had a quiet enjoyable overnight here.

We loved this place - would gladly have spent more time here but needed to get back home. Sad to leave! We were at site #3, opposite the lake. The access road was a little challenging for our large cargo van, but manageable. Very private and secluded. We will come here again.
