There are now “No Overnight Parking” signs at this location.

Report Check-In

Now has a ton of no camping/overnight signs. Very unfortunate. It would have been a beautiful place to stay.

Report Check-In

This place is closed for overnight parking or camping! They gave us a warning in the morning, good people.
They are signs arrownd now.

Report Check-In

No camping signs posted all over. pretty spot too!

Report Check-In

A great spot for the night, right on the beach. Four other vehicles stayed the night. There is a public park at the top of the hill, which was a bonus for our kids.

Report Check-In

Gravel turn around/parking lot right on the rocky beach with a stunning sunset, wild waves. Windy til dark, damp foggy morning. Last night was jam packed, no troubles and friendly vibe. A mix of locals and visitors. No amenities, but the park nervy does. Two bars TMobile

Report Check-In

Exactly as described, steep road down. I have a 19' van, I wouldn't recommend for anything much bigger as parking lot gets full and turning around would be difficult. Arrived just at sunset, gorgeous views. Popular spot with locals who come to fish a few "regulars" but everyone was respectful & quiet.

Report Check-In

Took a chance and drove down at around 8:45pm on a Saturday to check it out. Was pleasantly surprised to find it nearly empty; a few others quietly parked (a sprinter and a few other cars/SUVs), but no noise, besides the ocean. Parked along the road down to the lot itself, a little ways down from the sprinter, another car joined me.

Great data on Verizon. Definitely one of the best free spots I’ve stayed in. Worth it to check out; if it’s too rowdy, the Home Depot is 5 mins away. Also there are bathrooms at the park up the road, doors open and lights on when I drove past after dark, but I did not go inside to check cleanliness.

Other reviews are accurate. Beautiful spot with multiple level options. We came down around 3:00 in our cab over and there was an odd older couple. I’m sure she was harmless, but she wouldn’t leave us alone and was a little aggressive in following us around. We didn’t feel comfortable leaving the dogs and truck while walked the town so we left and came back around 6:00. They were gone and we backed into the perfect spot with a perfect view. Had multiple cars come in plastic music. Most only stayed a very short time. Husband slept through it all. I was already awake when it started around 2:00am and was probably back asleep by 3:30am. I would stay here again.

Report Check-In

Drove down here to check it out and saw some shady people. We didn't feel comfortable staying here.

Report Check-In

Great place for sunset WOW!
But only good for camping if you like people continuously coming to socialize, play loud bass or whatever else they like to do late night and early morning 5:30am and someone just rolled up blasting bass from their car speakers.
Not worth the nights stay unless you can sleep through anything. That said, no one messed with me in my Westy even with my expensive mountain bike on the back.
Not suitable for anything bigger than a Sprinter.

Report Check-In

Right on the ocean, some shady people for sure. Not really suitable for anything over 30’. It was pretty hard to turn my 40’ Skoolie around. Looks like a lot people come here to get high. But it’s right down town. A travel trailer would be hard to turn around it parking lot is busy.

Report Check-In

NOT SAFE. We stayed half a night. At night locals were driving up and down the road multiple times and just turning around. They seemed to be scoping out the place. We woke up at 2am to a man trying to steal our bikes off the back of our van. We scared him off but left right away.

Report Check-In

It’s pretty good spot. Two van seem local people. My van and another travel van parking here for a night too. Everyone seem leave us alone and even I see lot of police in city.

Report Check-In

This place had a beautiful view in the morning and felt safe. There were two other cars staying overnight in the area

Report Check-In

Really beautiful spot. A lot of other cars so I won’t stay long, but I had great service with AT&T and google fi, and the views were amazing. There are bathrooms in a park up there hill, but they were closed when I checked

Report Check-In

Gorgeous site, can be a bit busy during the day, quiet and peaceful at night.

Report Check-In

As described , gravel parking lot near the ocean with beautiful views.

No one hassled me for overnight parking, but there were lots of locals in and out all night. None of the other reviews mention this, so not sure if things have changed because of COVID possibly or just a one-time occurrence. But all night, sets of two cars would meet up in the parking lot. A few also came to just park and do stuff in their cars. I wasn’t sure what everyone was doing, but felt a little sketchy.

Another thing to note is that this is right at sea level, maybe 20-30 feet from the ocean. The night I was there a storm was coming in and the swells were 15-25 feet bigger than normal. With a high surf warning, I didn’t feel very safe sleeping that close to the ocean so I camped in one of the pull of spots on the road down to this parking lot. So this might not the best spot during strong winter storms.

Report Check-In

Great spot close to town and right on the beach. There are a few other cars here. Good ATT service

Report Check-In

A good little spot. Lots of people coming and going in the evening- like someone else said, seems like a local hangout. There were a handful of other vehicle dwellers in the morning. The beach was nice, a good place to wander and drink your coffee.

Report Check-In

we were the only one here overnight. had the best sleep in past week, with the sound of ocean. super nice and private spot next to the ocean.

Report Check-In

We will probably be the one unpopular opinion. This was not our favorite spot. It worked for a couple days and had great Verizon service to work, but wouldn’t stay there again if we didn’t have to. Beach access which is nice. Lots of traffic in and out and I’m guessing a local hang out spot. Lots of people with loud music.

Report Check-In

This is a great place. Beautiful. There is NO signage on this beach that says no overnight camping. We spent time enjoying the sea and picking up trash...there was lots!

However, a sheriff visited us this morning while we were having coffee, to tell us we couldn't sleep here. We said, "We aren't sleeping." Which we weren't. We had stayed the night like 4 other overlanders. The sheriff referenced a city ordinance, which we were able to find. I figure they don't enforce this unless it's a weekend at this particular location, especially because there are no signs here and there are in other places. So it's hit or miss if you'll get a knock on your door.

We fit with our 35' rig and follow truck. There was enough room for 4+ other runs and vehicles.

Report Check-In

Great parking down a little road for a few vehicles. Have parked here before no problem. But 2 nights ago an officer did knock in the morning saying someone complained so they had to come. No ticket. A guy with a big bus did say he was threatened with a ticket. Sounds like it's ok unless the call comes. City property. No trash cans, pack it out. STUNNING VIEWS.

Report Check-In

Great spot! Beautiful views. I accidentally drove past the entrance cause it’s not marked. Was easy to miss at night.

Report Check-In

Great spot. Little small for bigger rigs. I was here late in the fall so no one else was there but for cars coming down to watch the sunset. My rig is 25' with a 16' trailer behind it & was snuggle but doable. Super windy but so beautiful.

Report Check-In

Great place no one bothered us. Parked here all night, even had some Chusers join us.

Report Check-In

Best spot around. Fit my long wheelbase Sprinter w/ motorcycle on the back with no issues. Cop rolled by in the morning while we cooked breakfast outside in the lot and didn’t even stop.

Report Check-In

Was a bit nervous at first because this seems like a very busy spot, mostly for people watching the sunset. I sleep in my car so I wasn’t sure how much privacy I would have. But it cleared out once the sun went down, and there were.3 other vans that pulled in that made me feel a little safer. A cop came down and didn’t say anything. Beautiful sunset. There is a park up above that has bathrooms if you need. Otherwise was easy to ready for the night.

Report Check-In

Great lot, mostly quiet. Lovely ocean sounds. We stayed for a night before heading to the red woods.

Report Check-In

Had a nice stay. The smell and sound of the ocean was lovely. Lots of vehicles coming in and out looking for a spot to stay due to the popularity of this app.

Report Check-In

A great place that allows camping in vans/rigs. We were here with 3 others. Quite and able to cook. Wonderful place!

Report Check-In

Nice spot for an overnight. We had several other vans parked here for the night.

Report Check-In

Rolled into this spot late and shared the space with one RV and one Van. Super quiet with lovely ocean sounds. Woke up with the sun and had a very nice walk with my dog on the beach. Lots of crab sightings. would definitely reccomend this spot for the night.

Report Check-In

Right off of Pebble Beach Drive is a paved drive that goes down to the coast with a gravel lot at the end. There are no signs restricting overnight parking or camping. This is one of the best spots we have found on our whole trip. We had the place to ourselves almost all night.
