Lots of wild camping spots out here. Just pick a side road off Lowell canyon and you'll find a good spot.
Lots of bugs and some bees. Fair amount of shade honestly. Floor is uneven

Excellent camp spot. Quiet despite quite a few people. Lots of small trees and pines to tuck into for camping. Fire rings everywhere! Would come back again in a heartbeat!
Report Check-InLoved staying here. lots of other folks but easy to get a distance away from any other campers. 40 to 50 minute drive from the strip. cooler than the Frenchman overlook spots. Even found a big pile of firewood ready to go for us at the fire ring. not as much glass as other BLM sites around Las Vegas.
Report Check-Inpaved road, a lot of places, easy to find. We stayed close to this one, but pull off for 3 big rigs.
No problems, nice place, shade.
MUCH nicer camping here than at the Red Rocks Campground (which is about 10 minutes from the park anyway). We thoroughly enjoyed this spot, even though it was about 30 minutes to Red Rock. It was worth the drive and the road was fine in our 2WD Promaster 136”
