Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Stayed for one night - no issues. Wouldn’t want to overstay your welcome as it is a parking lot for public walking trails. However, it was great for one night. Very quiet with the occasional car or airport noise.
