Simple parking of dirt outside the site of the piramides. Nice guard, but didn’t see him much during the night. Nonetheless we felt safe as the spot seems almost at the end of the road, not much passage and no noise at all. Access to the toilets of the museum and water, but a bit far from where we had to camp. We saw a few owls, other birds and squirrels. Not many dogs. We were with a tent and a van. It’s ok, but not the best place.
Report Check-InDormimos una noche, estuvo tranquilo, le avisamos al guardia de seguridad y dijo que estaba bien. el museo esta agradable, vale la pena entrar, el precio fue de 8 soles PP
Report Check-InAs cyclists they let us stay inside the site. Perfect. Safe. Beautiful. Lots of birds. Access to water and toilets. Gard very nice. He just asked us to be ready to leave at 8 am. We recommend the site too ;)
Report Check-InStayed one night here. Really quiet, we arrived at 19h and the watchman came. But the museum open at 10 now.
Report Check-Inwe spent a very quiet and safe night there after visiting the site. Large space for any type of vehicle. watchman all night. Free
Report Check-InVery quiet and safe, friendly people. A few moto taxis early in the morning. Toilets available but water is switched off overnight. Only downside: Lots of mosquitoes at sunset and night.
Report Check-Invery quite and safe. there is a guard at the entrance of the sight the whole night. free
Report Check-InAmazing place, quiet, a lot of birds singing. The guard allowed us to visit one part of the site one day and the other part the day after (12 soles) and to overnight there. We were allowed to use the very clean and large toilets. Some tuktuk passing but ok! Very friendly! Night guard also. Very safe and quiet.
Tucume pyramids and museum are Open 8am-5pm.
Enjoy!
very great , safe and quiet place for stay a night after visit the pyramide , archeologique site !
Report Check-InTucume ruins and museum temporary closed - we don't know how long. Ask before you visit. Heavily rain causes a state of calamity in the whole province!
Some diversion routes in the city; parking lot is reachable.

vers friendly police officer escorted us to the parking lot and told the guards to let us stay. good spot in the parking in front of museum. Toilets available, but they had no water when we were there. Lights, safe. A bit of traffic at night. Free. We offered everybody coffee.
There is not too much left of the pyramids. They look a bit like hills. Probably a lot of stuff still to be escavated. They were doing some work when we were here, so you couldn't see all the sights. The museum is nice. 12 Soles entry for adults, dog was allowed in.
We stayed here for free when we visited the ruins (S/8)and they kindly let us park inside the gate rather than in the parking lot in the street. This meant we had overnight access to toilets. They also said we could use a shower that's in the building behind the ticket office but when we tried there was no water coming from the shower or any sinks.
Report Check-InJust a quick comment on the site... the site itself was a bit disappointing, the buildings no longer look like pyramids, but just mounds of dirt. They are doing a lot of work currently and maybe the site will offer more in the future. There is a nice little hike up to a viewpoint (bring water) and the museum is really great.
Report Check-Innice overnight place, we spent a quiet night here after visiting the archeological site.
