Along Green Creek | Overnight Prohibited

I am a land manager with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. Camping is not allowed on CDFW Wildlife Areas, and illegal camping at Green Creek Wildlife Area is leading to fires, target shooting, and woodcutting, which are also in violation of CA Fish and Game Code. The relevant section of the Fish and Game Code is below, extracted form Title 14 Section 550:

(p) Camping, Motorhomes, and Camp Trailers.

(1) No visitor shall camp, including on a boat, on any department land except on those wildlife areas where the department has designated campsites or camping areas, as provided in subsection 551(m) and Section 552 of these regulations.

Lots of great spots along this river, beautiful. Some smaller than others but a few spots for everyone.

Such a beautiful and secluded spot right along the green creek. Easy to get it to in a 2WD sprinter with multiple areas to maneuver which you’ll need in order to get a level parking spot. The creek wraps around the site with a nice grassy area and sandy spot for the dogs to swim. 40 MPH wind gusts today and this spot gave us some shelter from the wind. No cell service. Absolutely no garage or broken glass which is nice so please be sure to clean up after yourself and keep this place pristine! :)
