Unique spot, amazing view, expect vehicle and foot traffic on both sides. Spent about 36h, not bothered.

We stayed in the first no-limit parking space behind the last 15-minute space in front of the Sanders fish shop (there are two or three time limited spaces in front of Sanders but the time limit is only in effect from 8am to 6pm). Our Dodge Pro Master fit right inside the parking lines. It was level side to side with just a very tiny incline from front to rear. We slept great here with zero problems. There were several other spots open on both sides of the well lit street. We got beer, store-cooked shrimp, and sauce from Sanders for our appetizer. We enjoyed walking after dinner throughout the quiet neighborhood. In the morning, we were rewarded with a spectacular sunrise. We would definitely stay here again.

Great spot to park! Woke up in the morning and enjoyed coffee overlooking the waterway. It is fairly busy with morning walkers and joggers but overnight was quiet. Quick walk to downtown. There were street lights that kept the area well lit but not an issue If you have full coverage blinds.

The description was right on, the Porta is still here.

Portsmouth is already beautiful and serene wherever you go so it was a pleasure to stay parked overlooking this cute waterway lined with colorful houses.
The street remains a little busy up until later on in the night, but it’s really not bad at all.
If all of these spots are taken, a last resort is parking in a metered spot a block or two over between 8pm and 9am. But there were quite a few open when we arrived.
Would stay here again.
