Pimental is kind of a seaside resort town for wealthy peruvians. Paid 65souls for ensuite double for my partner and i including secure parking for 2 bikes. Place is spotless and like a french or spanish colonial retreat inside. Kitchen can be used. Nice place but we shouldve pushed on to mancora

We arrived there at around 4PM and wanted to park our 6, 3 meters / 20 foot - RV (camping car – casa rodante) in their parking lot which is next to the hostel. The old lady refused us parking because she thought that we were going to open the gate at night. She had no glue about self-sufficient RV’s with beds, kitchen, etc... Since there is no other camping spot anywhere within 200 km, we then decided to take a room for the 4 of us at 130 Soles. The owner Daniel who speaks English was extremely helpful and welcoming. He travelled all over the world and even lived in Finland. The next day, we gave him a guided tour of our vehicle. He then called his mother to explain her about RV’s. She eventually understood and apologised profusely. We then discussed the prices and terms & conditions for future over landers. From now on, the price is 20 Soles for 1 person and his vehicle. If there is more than 1 person then its 15 Soles per person and this includes parking, good wifi and access to 220 Volt electricity, the nice clean hot shower / toilet and kitchen inside the hostel. I think breakfast is optional at an extra charge? Note that their showers / toilets in the parking lot are very dirty because all the beachgoers come there to wash. That’s why I negotiated that future overlanders should be able to use the inside showers and bathroom. Make sure your electricity cable is at least 20 meters. If you arrive before 4 PM, you might not be able to park yet as the beach goers park their cars during the day. In this case, you wait until after 5 PM or so. They close and lock the gate at around 8PM. So rather avoid arriving late. Their phone number changed. Sorry i lost it.

Lovely little place. S20 for dorm bed. Hot water in the mornings (not at night). Parked my bike in the lot next door for S5 (price goes down to S3 if you stay more than one night). Intermittent wifi. Awesome hostel owner speaks great English.

Paid S/.9 to park and camp in the adjacent lot for the night. Stayed 2 nights. Daniel owns the hostal, but we paid the parking lot people and were allowed to use the bathrooms and showers in the hostal for free. perfect location to explore ruins around Chiclayo. Nice little beach town with a 100 year old pier and many restaurants, a nice malecon to walk our dogs and very safe with lots of tourist police. Our dogs were welcome.

Great hostal in a so so town. Just a block off the beach and run by an older guy who also has travelled the world in his youth. Prices for rooms started high but we ended up at 22.5 soles per person per night for private rooms. Breakfast is extra but cheap 7 soles. Ultra secure Moto parking in the adjoining lot free of charge. The guys in the lot will tell you different but the hostel owns the lot and took care of it for us.

Basic Hostal with small secure car park in rear. Power and water available – did not use. S.15 per night. Big iron gates lock off car park. Toilets and hot showers available inside the hostel (you don’t have to use the yukky ones in the car park!). Wouldn’t bother with Pimentel – not much to see.
