Something not right?

Description

Nice little area just off the gravel road with a few flat spots. Our map places it in BLM land. Camped here 2 nights around 4th of july, a few trucks drove by but no issues. If you walk up the hill a few meters you get distant views of devils tower. Has Verizon service

Great spot, no on there but me. Someone left a pile of bottles. A pile is at least better than scattered everywhere, but please just take your garbage

We were lucky enough to get the top spot with direct views of devils tower. Big, level space that fit our 23ft ram promaster perfectly. Road coming up is not too bad, we did it in 2wd. Sign says the road is impassable when wet and I would not attempt it around rain. Signs at spot indicate no fires. In total this area can fit two rigs on the top grassy area and two, possibly three smaller rigs on the lower level which is hard packed dirt. One downside was soo many bees. I researched it and we put out cups of distilled vinegar as they don’t like the smell.. we also rubbed it on our skin and that definitely deters them. Overall amaaaazing spot! 10/10

Road seems to be cleaned up, no terrible ruts. Still very difficult to get to when wet, only attempt with 4wd. Spot itself has room for a couple of vans or tents. You hear all kinds of animals at night and there are some cute bunnies around during the day.

Nous avons passé une nuit très tranquille dans ce coin. il y avait 5 autres voyageurs en tentes ou van. Belle vue sur Devil's tower. Beaucoup de biches et antilopes dans la campagne environnante.

Secluded spot surrounded by trees. Level area for 3 camper vans. No fires permitted, per posting. Ok cell service. Occasional mooing!

Best with 4W, don’t tempt in wet condition! Our little Revel enjoyed the primo spot with a view of Devils Tower!

Report Check-In

Please note we were just about able to turn our 20ft van around when we found the deep mud near the end of the road. Capable drivers only without 4wd I think is best 😁

Report Check-In

We attempted the drive up in our 2wd promaster. The final dirt road (number 28) was very rutted with gullies from past rain but that was no issue once you pick a good position to drive over them. All went well til we were 500ft from the campsite where the road was impassable for us due to deep mud. It became clear there must have been rain in the last 3 or 4 days. A 4wd with good tires would have no issue getting past this though.

I’m not sure the GPS coordinates lead to this spot. Go past Devil’s Tower to gravel road 6. Follow it around to 28 And keep going and going and going and going up the hill. Sign says impassable when wet. It’s fairly rutty in some places but I got through them with no problems in an AWD SUV in a lower gear. There is a turnoff to the left where the campsites are; the rightmost one leads up on the hill with this great view. I got here about 3 on a Friday and was the only one here for about 30 minutes. Their rig is a tall sort of class c but outfitted ruggedly with a foreign name and Germany painted on it. Very quiet and breezy. My benchmark map has this marked as BLM land. I’ve got three bars of ATT. No open fires allowed at this time. I woke up to find a large black bull staring at my car camper. I’d been hearing them since i arrived and thought nothing of it since fences were everywhere. This bull however became interested in my vehicle so Camper Kitty and I stayed very still and he eventually wandered off. Also to reiterate another comment: probably not a good campsite for little kids as there is a steep cliff on two sides.

Absolutely awesome private spot with a killer view! Echoing what other reviewers said, however we pulled our camper van directly up onto the hill overlooking devils peak (only clear spot in the now-overgrown meadow). No other visitors during the night. There was a tiny bit of trash but we cleaned it up before we left.

No fire rings and posted signs about a fire ban in the road-level pullout.

While the spot is nice, if the primo spot is taken I could imagine - without access to the view - it’s not nearly as awesome. Probably good to get here early on fri/sat nights, or plan this spot for an off-day.

Nice spot to boondocking. We get there 2wd prius but road was dirty. We thought to give up halfway, prius power mode saved us. There is a “impassable when wet” sign begging of the dirty road.

Report Check-In

Perfect campsite, established fire circle, views of Devils tower 20M from campsite, 2-3 bars LTE (Version), sunset views 200M up the road, and flat area to camp.

Drive in can only be made if the road is dry!!!

Nice area. There were a few other vehicles tucked into the back but I was able to park right near the road. The road is a bit muddy and becoming rutted. I have a 4x4 but I’m not sure whether or not a regular vehicle would have made it in the mud. Several time I almost slid off the road. Overall a nice place.

Report Check-In

Tried to get there but the road at the end was extremely muddy and not doable with a 2wd (even with good AT Tires). I think it was because of some rainy days before.

Report Check-In

got here at 1230am, only to find out was about a 15 min drive on washboard dirt road to get to it. had a tow truck flying by us on the way in. found him up by the pull off with 2 other cars already camping. kept driving, but turned around and came back because there was no other place to pull off. the tow truck was gone, but the other 2 cars where still there (seemed kinda sketchy). it's really only made for 2 cars, and it's super unlevel. we pulled off to one side and made it work since there really isn't anywhere else in this area. just know it's a rough ride getting to it, and it might not have availability once you get there.

Report Check-In

It’s about 5 minute drive off-road but a car could make it. Not too bad of roads. And it’s a super quite spot well worth it

Report Check-In

Decent spot! We only stayed one night in order to get an early start at Devils Tower.

Report Check-In

Dirt pull off on BLM land strip. Good for 3 cars/trucks or 2 longer vehicles. Decent privacy, 2-3 bars AT&T

Awesome secluded campsite with a great view of Devil's Tower when you walk up the hill.

Amazing secluded spot. The gravel road here is well maintained, make sure you keep your windows close, it’s very dusty. This area is small and enough for two camper vans, don’t recommend big rigs or rvs. Please keep this place clean so others can enjoy it.

Report Check-In

Epic little spot. Pulled up after dark to a stone fire ring with some wood in it. Heard some coyotes howling in the distance. Aptly named as a small storm rolled through in the wee hours. Very quiet. 2 bars T-Mobile.

Report Check-In

A great spot! Space enough for two camps, there was one other person when we arrived right at sunset. The road getting there is a bit hairy at times but we made it in a minivan without issues. Keep this place in mind (beautiful and isolated) when nearby campgrounds are full/closed.

Report Check-In

Great overnight spot!!! This is exactly why the app is so amazing!
Full cell bars! Watch for rattlers! Not a good spot for small children. Too much stuff for them to get into, and not in a good way. Please be courteous to the local ranchers.

Report Check-In

Pretty spot down a dirt farm road.

We spent 1 night here and really enjoyed it. It was quiet and felt private.

If you walk just up the bank, there are views of the Devils Tower monument in the distance. We enjoyed putting our camp chairs out and taking in this view.

Also, it’s in a great spot for star gazing! (See photo)

2 bars LTE Verizon.

Keep it clean and pretty people!
