Beautiful
A bit rough road but any rig can get here

Report Check-In

Great area to be setup close to West Yellowstone. Good Verizon with cell booster. Many sites along FS57. We stayed at a lower site two nights then moved to the Targhee Trail trailhead for better views. The road can be a bit mucky with rain. If you get a chance, take a hike on the beautiful Targhee Trail.

Road here was really bumpy and hard with our 2wd promaster. Most spots were filled around 5 when we got there, but we found one deep within, not very level. Ok for a night

Beautiful spot. Creek is cold, trees to hang a hammock, a fire ring, and bear box!

Multiple spots as others have said. At the back, there’s about two pull up spots then one more tent spot over the closed bridge along the creek. Working remote and the 1-3bars of lte work good enough. Close to town if you need anything.

Awesome dispersed camping. felt safe and private as a solo traveler. watch out for moose!

Road to get in has piles of gravel next to the hill, causing the road to be very narrow, it is still very bumpy and full of potholes. Very quiet at 8:05p.m. About 20 miles from Yellowstone West Entrance.

Came all the way to the end of the road. Right next to the creek in my pop-up camper. At a spot where someone left a live fire going. Good news I didn’t have to start a fire I just had to move the sticks. Bad news,Still plenty of idiots out here. Also, no poop smell.😂

Bit of a bumpy gravel road with some big rocks, but our van made it down to the end without a problem. Several spots along the road, many with fire rings. Some small, some larger lots, and a few forested while others with open views. Stayed two nights and loved it, car camping and then tent camping by the water.

Great dispersed location. Went all the way to the creek at the end but decided to return half way to this spot as it was smelling too much like horse poop over there but it did look good and calm. The spot we chose is Quiet, safe and other camper around. poop there. I

There's numerous locations along this forest service rd 053. Large spots for groups and single spots also. We were here for labor day weekend and spots available. Mainly forested sites, but there were some on the edge with open views. Nice road 053, and spots are from 100- 300' off the road. We're in a 25' class C and we saw plenty of 5th wheels and campers upwards to 40'.

Targhee trailhead camping. There are multiple spots along the road in. Very picturesque with wildflowers rampant.

The trail itself is a 6 mile singletrack MTB ride that connects up to the CDT.
