Description

Moderator Note: Do NOT camp here. This is NOT public land and every one camping here will be fined.

* This is a sandstone cliff face which is privy to fast erosion and landslides
* This place is surrounded by grassland in the arid climate of Cypress County, where every summer our fire crews battle constant grassfire threats.
* Local signs have been destroyed which post no trespassing, and gates have been cut.

Seems fine, open. Stop and sleep type place.

Beautiful view, high cliffs but if winding, not the best spot to put up tents.

I showed up here and there was 2 other campers setup near the cliffs and myself and another family were going to setup back a bit further. then a lady showed up with a camera to take photos of the cliffs and started abusing us all screaming infront of our kids and threatening to call the cops because this is not a camping area, you are all wreaking this place peeing and pooing everywhere, im gonna get a gate put up so you all cant camp here etc etc. She was legit crazy so we all left to another spot.

beautiful site top of the gorge. insane sunset views. pack out your trash please and don't burn the wood planks in the pile, there are rabbits that have a burrow inside it. also don't leave your food out or the rabbits may steal some

Very nice view and not bad condition when it hasn’t rained. Dark and quiet but still safe.

Update to my previous comment. Don’t be surprise when you’ll walk around. It’s a dump, full of rusted beer cans, paint cans, and there are 4 deer carcass and fur. A bit disgusting.

Full a rabbits too

Really nice place. We went at the end of the road and my girlfriend was really scared because we were close to a tall cliff. So I move the RV farther (100m) to ensure she would feel safe and sleep well.

The view is awesome and hoping to have a nice sunset to photograph.

The last 100 mts to arrive to the actual spot are now very bad. There hasn’t been maintenance and the winter has left massive holes. We arrived late and had almost no visibility, so we decided to stay in the spot right before. The view is great and we felt safe.
Dead end road in very poor condition as of March 2/21. Could get muddy if wet. Super quiet spot close to town. A few houses every 100-300mts.
Close to echo dale Parc with toilets and swimming pool.
Good for one night.
3 bars of signal with Telus.

Beautiful spot, very open & quiet with a gorgeous view. There is no shade, so it's pretty warm in the sun.

Last bit of the road is quite rough.

No signs against overnight parking.

Really nice place to stay the night. The place itself was already taken by other iOverlander users but I could park just before the spot. Very quiet and a wonderful view on the river and cliffs.
