Latest Check-Ins

We drove from south to north, to join Caprivi. Not a really interesting way (in our opinion). Yeah we saw a lot of elefants (even in the north part), girafes, game etc but the north part is a bumpy sandy track (at least in march, I don't know for other season) so you can't drive faster than 20km/h, it takes a lot of time and diesel ! And when you exit the park you have to drive more 40km in the bumpy sand so again you use a lot of diesel. The sand is not so deep but because it's bumpy you can go fast (depend on your equiped car, for us this is a 4x4 with a cab on the chassis). No difficulty to drive just take time and diesel but I am not sûre that it's valuable.

Friendly staff. Park fees 2024 for Namibians (1 day) N$110 (2 persons and car). We drove here from Khaudum Camp in approx. 7 hrs, with stopping at the waterholes. South section of the park was so much easier to drive, no deep sand like in the north. The ”middle track” was ok to drive, no mud anymore today. Few a bit wet spots, but easy to drive.

Very cute parc. Appr 120km between north gate and south gate, we did it in appr 7h. The northern half of the parc is less interesting with very few animals, dry waterholes, and awful sandy/bumpy roads that cost us a shock absorber.... The southern half is much better, we saw there big herds of giraffes, elephants, lots of Kudu and Hipotragues. The roads are also much better, so if you don't want to cross the whole parc and to spare you the 45km of nightmare between North Gate and the main road I would highly suggest you stick to the southern part: south gate to Dussi is more than enough!

250 for 2 people and 1 car. we began at 7 am at the south and go out at 5 pm at the north because we stopped a lot to take pictures but also half of the park is with deep sand sections. a lot of elephants, no cars, we loved it !!!
