Rustic US Forest campground with vault toilets, water, boat launches (no motors), fishing, hiking trails, and swimming. Very nice, basic, quiet, and great for families.

Great campground with no one else camping; a couple of people fishing. Nice sites for small vans/campers and tents. First loop vault toilets are pretty rustic; toilets on the other two loops are better. $10/night. Haven’t seen the mountain lion or bear yet…
Report Check-InThe campground was lovely, however a mountain lion stalked us at our campsite for a while and then a bear came and sniffed around our stuff. Pretty scary night with the wildlife but we valiantly conquered the night.
Report Check-In$12/night. Two boat launches at either end of the campground with campsite loops in the middle. Nice shaded campsites nestled between trees. Campground road is somewhat rutted in a few places but still easily passable for my 2WD van. Campground was about half full on a Friday in July. Zero cell phone reception. If you're feeling adventurous, don't forget to take a plunge into Beaver Lake from the rope swing at the big pullout on the main road just south of the campground.
