Description

Decent spot off the road a little further back from 89A. Can hear the train ramble by in the distance but that's about it. Large site, could fit up to 4 or 5 rigs if you like, fire ring included. One medium sized juniper tree for shade, so not much, mostly grasslands, but an amazing view. We were the only ones out here on an otherwise busy weekend in many other locations we tried.

If it's dry or you have 4wd the road goes back quite a ways and when we walked it we saw several other campsites. 4bars LTE with tmobile.

Latest Check-Ins

Easy access and wide open. Been here 4 days waiting for cooler weather southward. Road 35 leads to the northeast all the way to I40. Lots of sites along this 11 miles of road.
Limited Verizon.
Coyotes and a few Elk were spotted.

Report Check-In

2 bars LTE Verizon, clean site, no need for 4WD, though the road was bumpy and if there has been any recent rain I wouldn’t feel comfortable driving my van through the soft mud. Very quiet and neighbors were far away. Would stay again!
No amenities, but there was a fire ring.

Great spot for star-gazing! 🔭 Saw many shooting stars! 🤩☄️ Fantastic Verizon service. ✅📶

Recent muddy ruts in the road make me think it would be best for high-clearance vehicles.

A few hikers passed by and some road / train noise, but otherwise feels private. Would stay again.
