Description

Space for parking, picnic tables, lake good for swimming. Lots of space for RVs and a few decent spots for tents. Pit toilets and gorgeous views. Just off the highway so a bit noisy in daytime but it quietens down at night.

Suberbe! Rien à dire de plus. Les descriptions correspondent bien.

Report Check-In

One of our favourite rest areas in Ontario
Clean washrooms
Lake side, picnic tables and plenty of garbage containers
Good fishing

Report Check-In

RV et hookup are ok at this place by the Lake, it’s a pinic area, you get in a aidé of the road and got out on the Road at the other end.

Report Check-In

Très beau spot au bord de l'eau. Table de picnique, poubelles.
Un peu bruyant, près de la route, sinon super.
c'est un rest agréable, aucun signe d'interdiction de passer la nuit.

Report Check-In

beautiful spot to stop, stretching my legs but thinking about taking a swim in the lake

Report Check-In

Really a beautiful spot. Would be more than perfect if the highway wasn’t that close. But the attributes of this place far outweighs this downside: beautiful lake with clear and inviting water, nice rocks on which to lay down, flat parking spots with picnic tables.

beaucoup de stationnement
toilettes sur place et belle vue
👍👍

What a great spot! It was really quiet by night even if it is located next the the highway! Few families came in the evening for a swim with their children! Picnic tables, bins and toilets around! Stunning view on the lake! We spent a night there with a couple of other campers and didn’t have any problems even if there is a sign saying « picnic area only » there is no sign of « no camping » highly recommended!

What a gem of a location
Nicely situated on a beautiful clear lake , loons calling, picnic tables , level paved area on either side of the rest area road
I took a swim in the lake
Highly recommend this spot

Report Check-In

beautiful spot, easy access, says picnic use but nothing about overnight or camping. stayed 1 night, as did a few others , ranger or staff was by in the morning to get garbage, never said anything to us , recommend

Report Check-In

Good place to stay off the highway so the semis don’t rock you every time they pass. Still can hear them a little but not to bad.

Report Check-In

Very nice place for a meal ! There are picnic tables near the lake.

Report Check-In

Sign on the highway marking this spot just shows a pic nic table but there are no signs saying no camping or no overnight parking
A few of the spots are big enough for a small RV the rest are narrow and too close to the road for anything bigger than a van on our way out the East side of the rest area there was a sign saying no overnight parking! But there were 3 overnighted last night it is well away from any populated areas so if no one complains I guess we are left alone.

Report Check-In

nice spot on side of the lake. can hear distant noise from highway but didn't bother during the night. there were no "no overnight parking" sign anywhere. enough space for smaller RV, or small trailer. 3-4 other cars or RV for the night.

Report Check-In

Nice rest area, there’s gate and it says no camping

Report Check-In

Very pretty by the lake, paved, spots with pic nick table and garbage bins, no camping.

Report Check-In

Amazingly beautiful. Just off the highway in a rest stop right on a picturesque lake home to many loons.

The iOverlander coordinates marks the entrance off the highway for the eastbound traffic. There is another entrance further east for west bound traffic. It is well marked and there is a turning lane.

This place is friendly for big rigs and tents. There are pit toilets and lots of picnic tables and garbage cans.

Beautiful crystal clear lake. I’m sure you could swim if you felt so inclined.

Report Check-In

There’s a “no camping” sign. We didn’t stay.

Report Check-In

Report Check-In
