Update: campgrounds aren’t snow plowed and currently inaccessible but the parking lot had some flat places and we were able to spend the night without interruptions.
Report Check-InStunning views of La Grande below. Vault toilets are super clean right now. Second night here with nobody else around. 4 bars Verizon, 3 T-Mobile. Signs posted warn about the incline (17*) and 12ft height limit. I came up with a 4x4 Sprinter.

Report Check-Inwell I checked out the reviews and they did not dissapoint. views overlooking town are great, no one here, very private, no fees. the road to campground was a 17% grade, that's how you get a view.
Report Check-InNot a bad spot to stay the night. Got here right before dark, so there were only a few spots left. There were a few sketchy looking campers with dogs barking for quite a while, but they didn't bother me. Not very private. Would stay here again if it was the only option.
Report Check-InAwesome site. Great view of the city below. Easy (but steep) and accessible from La Grande. Not entirely private pull ins, but beautiful nonetheless. Will absolutely stay again. Please remember to pack it out.
Report Check-InAmazing FREE camp ground. Only one here. A few passerby’s throughout the evening. Beautiful view of the city below. I can imagine it gets busy when the mountain isn’t in between seasons. Sadly, some don’t understand pack it in, pack it out but I tried to make up for some.

If you travel with dirt bikes this is a great location as trails nearby.
Arrived at night. Some snow left on the ground but mostly cleared. Fine for a night.
