We stayed a week at a site just before this one, was lovely with a small fire pit, trees for shade and wonderful views. Not many people/atvs here. Some shooting on the weekend. Good loop hikes on atv trails. Road ruddy/bumpy as mentioned, but doable in our 4x4 van. Would keep bigger rig closer to main road. Lots of old wood for firewood. Some coyote noise in evenings. AZ permit required, but no one came around.
Report Check-InAttempted to reach this place in our 26ft class c, but turned back around as soon as we got off the main road. The roads in were way too deeply rutted for us. Will need a high clearance vehicle to get here.
Report Check-InMy Toyota Sienna didn't like the dirt road indicated on the map off the highway, but if you just go a little further east there is a gate to another road that was much better. Still need a permit to Arizona State Land to camp, but nice enough and no other people there when I visited including guns and OHVs- a rarity in this area.
