This is a nice, small, pay campsite ($18) on the Okeover Inlet that feeds into Desolation Sound. There is a harbor just below the campsite for launching kayaks and boats with a rocky shore with some sharp oyster shells and barnacles. Pit toilets are adequate but need servicing, and the water during my stay was non potable.
Very nice upscale restaurant on the road into the campsite with some noise from happy drinkers on the deck. There is a parking lot across the street for boat trailers where a car horn when off for 2-3 hours in the week hours of the morning. Ugh. Other than that a nice site in a gorgeous place, all shaded.
Confirm there are 4 "condensed" sites available during off season. Nice view, tables, fire pits, toilet, garbage and recycling. Says $18/ night, but ranger drove in and didn't ask.
We had the whole provincial site to ourselves!
Nice forested campground, $18 a night. Filled up quick after check out time (11am). Water pump but it's not drinking water, needs to be treated. Would reccomend.
Report Check-InMaintained provincial campsite the park ranger is very firm in no party or causing a ruckus so behave. Nice spot and it’s a first come first served spot so don’t send 3 people to try and grab 3 spots
Report Check-InCampground closed after Sept 15th but 4 tent sites in front of the gate are open. Big parking lot. You can stay with a van or RV as well. Water pump still works. Water needs to be treated through. No cell service (with Telus). Arrived in the evening and only stayed one night. Very quiet. Felt safe.
