Near the town of Oakley. Dispersed camp sites by reservoir/lake. Road is a little rough, no 4x4 needed or high clearance, just look ahead and go slow. Road down to the lake can be steep in some areas. I would not take a big rig down to lake but did see 25 foot trailer there. Nice sunset of the canyon. Good for a day or two, unless you are into water-activities, worth staying longer. One to two bars of cellular w/ LTE randomly on Verizon.

Nice view overlooking lake. Flat spot with rock fire ring. Quiet location. We stayed with a 17’ trailer. Bigger rigs could get here for more adventurous drivers. The road is mostly single lane along the hillside making passing oncoming vehicles a little challenging. The road is washboarded but high clearance/4WD is not required.
Report Check-InNice view overlooking the lake. Large flat area with rock fire ring. Road is rough and washboarded getting in but 4WD or high clearance vehicles are not required.
