NF483 has three or four sites right off Warm Lake Road two miles east of Trail Creek hot springs. the sites have fire rings and lots of large shade trees. No facilities so bring your own Grover. Great location to soak at the hot springs. Quiet, clean and well maintained. A true gem in the wild.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Came in late on a September evening and found the space pretty much filled by a longer term hunting group. Got told not so subtly to go elsewhere for the night, Idahoan hospitality I suppose. Went to the warm lake spot further east and had it to myself.
Important: do NOT go past this main site more than a hundred feet, the road gets very narrow with foliage and no more sites so you'll get scratched up while having to do a 30 point turn to get out at the dead end past the small bridge. Anything longer than a typical van may not be able to get out without backing up, and the road quality gets pretty rough quick.
