Something not right?

Description

It is the second pullout driving south from woods bay. Bit more secluded from the street than first one and less car parking around. Its just about that, a dirt parking space hidden in the trees. There are a couple of level spots, but for the most part the entire space has a bowl shape. Plenty of room for a few vehicles or a larger RV. Nice view through trees to the lake. If you walk about 10 min you are down at the lake. No beaches here, just a tiny bench and direct access to water. Stony!

Easy lake access, some road noise but beautiful!

Spot is pretty nice for just 1 night. Too close to a main road that I wouldn't risk staying for multiple nights. Keep it clean and mellow.

It is a slip of a spot, I honestly don't know how anyone can sleep so close to the road. if someone swerved off the highway they could end up on top of you, and noisy. Not just a few cars, seriously heavy traffic and trucks. Maybe okay if you are deaf, or have a soundproof rig. Appears to be in National Forest, but wouldn't be surprised if no overnight parking signs appear there one day. Nice trail down to the lake. This is really just a trailhead parking spot, I would never label it a camping spot, but if one was desperate just for a night's sleep and was gone in the morning, it could work for that. Some places need to be left alone for day visitors. If this gets abused I can see the neighbors fighting it.

This camp spot is amazing! I am here for a night. It has an amazing set of trails attached to it and they lead to very pretty streams and a gorgeous beach! It’s tucked away enough from traffic that you don’t feel like you’re next to a busy highway. There is 3 strong bars of Verizon from this spot too!

Sweet little hideaway with great views of Flathead Lake. A short walk down to the lake takes you to the water’s edge. Picked up some trash while here—let’s keep it clean so we can all enjoy!

Had a good night’s sleep here with only one vehicle driving down into this site from Hwy 35 during the night. They drove through and out.
Morning traffic noise is heavy during the week, but we were able to sleep past 8am.

There is a great (long) hike above this site that starts just across the roadway. The trailhead is clearly marked and there is actually a separate pullout designated for the trail located 100 ft. south of this pullout.
There is another trail (5-10 min./easy) from this site down to the lake. You can get in the water or sit on the bench to watch the beautiful sunset in the evening.
The site was clean. There are no facilities or garbage cans; it’s just an open space behind trees down below Hwy 35.

Nice little pullout right off the road. You can hear the road but it’s level . It dips down a bit so it’s private from the road. A nice little path down to the lake. Please please do not throw unburied toilet paper anywhere in the nature, it’s not nice, no one want to see that. Bury your waste.
