Description

Note: Closed winters

Gravel roads to who knows where, maybe a power line easement. Big clear spot with incredible views near the top of a paved rural road overpass.

Update: the gravel road to this location ends about 1/2 mile on top of a hill.
The road (Highway 39) is a major crossing from parts of the Salt Lake Valley to non major portions of north east Utah and western Wyoming.

AMAZING!! I snagged a spot right under the powerlines on top of the hill, and it was amazing! Super windy but what can you expect way up here lol. Broke glass here and there so be careful. Other than a few big rigs, looked like a group going up the hill to camp in the woods and a few passerby’s checking out the sunset near the entrance I was pretty alone! Might be busier on weekends tho. Felt super safe! Great Verizon service, 5G at points. Would definitely return! Bonus: the night sky was amazing when I was here!

Wish I could add pics I took with my camera, app keeps crashing when I try to add them. Trust that they’re beautiful tho!

Little bit of snow this end of October, beautiful views, sleeping inside the car. 10/10 will return for more amazing winter sunset views.

Great site just off the road. Can't miss it. Dirt road pull out under huge power lines.

Quiet, near road but not much road noise.
Place was empty on a Friday night early October.
3 Bars 5G T-mobile.
Great views and plenty of room to hike.
No amenities, little bit of toilet paper trash.
On hilltop so it's pretty windy.
Plenty of room for big rigs.

We loved it so much we had to come back.
Someone has cut up a lot of the wind downed trees and just left the limbs lying around. There were sheep LOTS of sheep so the flies were in force; BUT still a wonderful spot.

An absolutely beautiful location. We took our 32’ Skoolie all the way to the top of the road and OMG it is beautiful!
We even have 3 bars of AT&T 5gE!

there are a ton of campsites with fire pits and beautiful shaded areas secured back in the woods that are honestly just three coughs left of breathtaking. stayed one night not too hot during the day not too cold during the night.

What a view! There actually is a camping area just up the dirt track but it's littered with fallen trees and the road is impassable. Shame because there are some really nice spots with fire rings up there. Fairly strong Verizon signal. Some trail riders have been here with horses and there is quite a bit of horse manure. Dogs are thrilled, me not so much.
