Nice little clearing off a dirt road in Chequamegon National Forest. You can legally a camp anywhere in this forest as long as your are at least 100ft from the road. We think this little clearing is likely where the snowplows dump snow during the winter. Probably need 4WD as you have to drive over some plants but it might be okay without. We had enough room for our SUV, 3 tents, and a little fire pit area. No amenities and no real “view” but close enough to a town and the Apostle Islands to be a convenient place to sleep for the night!

Easy to miss, little wild camp site with a rock fire pit and not much else, which is just fine for my purposes! No Verizon service. Moderate amount of small flies but nothing biting.
Report Check-InWe tried to find this spot, but there wasn’t really anywhere to park at these coordinates. But we found a spot a little further east up FR 694. I added that spot to the map.
Report Check-InCamped here last night. Nice spot, a little pebble road to get here. Was able to back into clearing with my Astro Van.
