Such a great spot! Beautiful views at the upper loop. Pot toilets, fire pit, and picnic table. No garbage service so pack it in, pack it out. Some cacti and foxtail in the spots so pet owners beware.
Report Check-In10$, many spots still available. Very clean, minus the 1000 flies in the bathroom considering the bathrooms are clean.
Report Check-InAwesome campground! Arrived on a Sunday, only 2 other spots taken. There is an upper and lower loop, the upper has better views and is a bit more private from the road, but I stayed in the lower loop to get privacy from the campers up above and it was still very quiet, not much traffic along the road especially in the evening. Trail access to the Maah Daah Hey Trail directly off some of the sites, and a nice lookout about 1/4 mile up the trail. Dirt/gravel road but well maintained, fire pit and picnic table, water pump is at the trailhead just before the turn off to the campground but I did not check to see if it was working.
Report Check-InNice, spacious campground. The last 8 miles to camp is unpaved road, but doable. Most of the side are very spacious, can park up to 3 cars. Fee is $10.00 a night, if you have the Senior card, it's $5.00. There is 2 pit toilets, no running water here. Nice view all around and not too busy. The campground has about 8 sites and only 2 were occupied when we were here. Truly a hidden gem.
Report Check-InGreat USFS campground! Very clean bathrooms, water-which is not on yet, but should be turned on before Memorial Day. Nice sites, level with fire rings and picnic tables. $10. Reasonable Verizon service. And we are the only campers here! Also trail access right from the campground.
