Unofficial spots with firepits along gravel logging roads on South-West of Kennedy Lake. We’ve seen some tents but it’s more designed for campers.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
There’s a few spots along the road, some further than others, all depends at whit how hour you arrive :)
Otherwise a nice and quiet place.
Keep it clean
Tried to stay, logging road now has signs up saying the road is closed. Believe it was locals who got sick of all the garbage. This is why we cant have nice things, clean up after yourselves!
You can still camp on the logging road opposite on the highway but there's very limited space. Campers really not welcome in this area.
Report Check-InIt’s a great road off the side of the highway littered with small side pull offs to make your site for the night. Lots of people scattered throughout but not too crowded; definitely room to have your own private spot here. Great for free camping, lots of mosquitoes but I had cell service most of the time. Perfect to lay low for free and then explore Tofino during the day
Report Check-InGood spot close to Tofino. You don’t have to drive down as far as the map says (there are lots of pull offs along the main logging road) but I drove in where it said and it’s a little more private. Lots of mosquitos through!
Report Check-InPull out spots all along the road starting from the highway. Seems like everyone visiting Tofino and not wanting to pay for camping comes here. Bit out of town but gas is cheaper than the sites in town (lots aren't allowing out of province due to covid). Was overall good while staying near Tofino/Ucluelet.
Report Check-InWorks fine. Just about every pull off along the road occupied. This is where all the surfers go.
