We stayed here a night Tsh 30k for two people. Campsite was ok. the gravel area was very muddy due to rain so we parked on the grass in front of the ablutions. Someone came and cleaned the ablutions which had hot shower but the roof was leaking so you got wet while going to the loo! we didn't cook but ate at the restaurant. amazing food !! worth just coming for the food. !

I could not recommend this place anymore highly! Lovely people, we set up our overlander camp with good clean ablutions and showers. The food at the Italian restaurant is some of the best we’ve ever eaten!

Yet another great visit to Mama Iringa! The campsite was comfortable, good ablutions, strong wifi and we took advantage of the sink and washing line to catch up on laundry. The pizza was even better than we remembered on our last visit (which is tough as we thought it was amazing last time) and really good value, as is the campsite. Felt refreshed and ready for the long road south after our night here.

Mama Iringa's is indeed a great restaurant but contrary to what some others have written about the campsite based on our recent experience we do not rate it as one of the best. We arrived on a Monday when the restaurant is closed but the campsite was open. However, we were disappointed to find that there was no shade under which to camp with our camper and the ablutions were far from clean perhaps due to building workers on site. In addition, a campsite that offers only coarse gravel or dirt on which to camp and seemed to offer only one distant power point really cannot be rated amongst the best in Africa. The rough access tracks to get to Mama Iringa's don't exactly endear one to the place either. We didn't stay and moved on to Old Kisolanza Farmhouse.

Great stay at Concita with great Italian food. We enjoyed the hospitality.

This is the place to stop on your way to northern Tanzania. Honestly one of the best campsites we stayed in East Africa, hot showers, super fast wifi, so peaceful and quiet night and i don't even want to start to talk about the food. 100% recommended!

After an excellent and surprisingly well priced pizza, lasagne, pork ribs and panna cotta feast we retired to our RTT around the back of the property. Choice of camping under a tree in a narrow spot or in a European style level and gravel campervan spot. We opted for the level gravel area.

Hot showers and clean flushing toilets. A large sink for washing up and a clothes line if required.

One of our favourite stops in Tanzania - so good that we stayed here twice. Camping for 30,00tsh for 2 people in a lovely, well maintained garden. The second time we stayed it was pouring with rain and Concetta kindly let us stay in a room instead, we were so grateful. The pizza and pasta is to die for, best food we’d eaten in a long time. And the staff are incredibly friendly and warm. Definitely stay here!

Great place!
We camped for 30,000 tsh for 2 people (we asked at the start for this price)
Decent enough garden area or gravel bit you can park on and there's a little undercover boma area and sink to do your dishes. Ablutions lovely and clean and great showers with hot water and good pressure.
The food....divine Italian and reasonably priced.

This place is really amazing! The campground is nothing special yet. Gravel ground, nice and clean ablution. They are planning to extend the place though. But you must come here for the italian food which is just delicious and worth every penny. Camping was 30 k Tsh for 2 people. We enjoyed every second here.

Excellent place with great pizza and a superb breakfast. Peaceful location. We were not shown the exact campsite, but they now asked $15/pppn. We then asked how much is a room and the manager said ”90”, we then asked is it in shillings and got the impression from him that yes, it is (his articulation was not the best). Then in the morning he tried to charge us 90 USD(!). So a major communication error here. The owner (very friendly Italian woman) then agreed that we paid only the 90.000 Tsh as there was this misunderstanding. If we would’ve been told clearly that the room price was $90, we would’ve camped. Very clean, awesome rooms with great hot shower (but still not worth as much as $90). But probably hands down the best place to stay in Iringa.
Neema’s Guesthouse was alright, but we’d suggest to read our review of it and be extra vigilant there!

The camping area out back is now mostly ready. A level gravel area to park with a small ablution block. There is an area under construction with fire pit and table and chairs under shade. We were able to use the washing machine free of charge and the WiFi reaches the campsite. It can get very windy here. The staff are friendly but nobody disturbs you at the campsite. It's a shame the owner only spoke to us briefly as we were paying to leave after 6 nights here. Restaurant food is excellent quality, the tagliatelle with mushroom and sausage is tasty. 55000tsh for 2 people camping. In hindsight, Neemas is 45000 for a double room with breakfast but that's our fault for not researching.

Just passing to post some photos of the campsite. Restaurant very good and hotel area also very pleasant. Campsite probably good for a night or two. Very clean and organized premises.

Stayed here gain a few months later. $10pppn for camping. The owner, Conchita, takes comments from overlanders to heart. Apparently someone told her that the gravel lot for parking was slightly unlevel so she had it completely redone to be perfectly level.
Hot shower with great pressure. Charging point in bathroom. Easy to refill water tank here. Access to very long hose. Clothes lines for drying. (The owner even let us use her washing machine!) A great stay.
Food at the restaurant is very reasonably priced and better than any other place we have been in Tanzania (and we've been in the country for 4 months.) Highly recommend the pizza and homemade gelato!

Was an okay stop over. Very expensive though for what you get. We payed $20pp and camped in the back yard. The meals were good and the beers cold. They are leveling an area to make it more camper friendly. There are showers and toilets for the campers but they also allowed us to use one of the rooms as there were a few of us. Not enough space for large overlanding trucks.

10/10 would recommend! Great spot for camping. Campsite is a gravel lot in the back of the property. Facilities for campers have been finished. Stand up sink on outside for dishes/washing. Hot showers and working toilets -- all very clean and great water pressure.
Wifi was working fine in the evening but ran slower during the day when many more people (staff included) were using it.

Restaurant on site is delicious and very reasonably priced. We ate dinner and a lunch here. The pizza is sooo good. (As it should be considering the place is owned by Italian ex-pats.)
Of note, restaurant is closed on Mondays. We showed up on a Monday and they were still able to offer us the full menu minus the pizza.
Price for camping is 10USD per person (which to me seems pricey, but we have found that many campsites in TZ are this price.) Most meals between 12,000-20,000tsh.

Mama Iringa is planning a campsite. There will be showers and toilets, the parking will be in the garden. You can already stay on parking lot of the Restaurant and spend the night in the roof top tent or motorhome. She gives access to a hot shower. it's a very peaceful place in an old monastery and the food is excellent. Concetta with staff are very friendly and helpful.
