Something not right?

Description

The road ends directly at the lake, several camping spots here with fire pits. The road is pretty rough, but we managed it with a back wheel drive. The lake is nice and clean. In the morning some maintenance guys came with their truck, so make sure to not stand in the middle of the road to let them pass.

Latest Check-Ins

Sadly didn’t make it to the lake with our 2WD Sprinter. We got super close (up to the fenced tunnel/cave), but that last part is especially steep and bumpy, so our wheels started spinning. We’ve driven her on lots of logging roads, but this one pushed her to the limit. Think long and hard if you really want to attempt it with 2WD, it’s very disappointing having to turn around after making it that far up a bad road.

Headed to this beauty of a manmade spot after pushing mamush to its limits on the steep logging road up there, 2WD certainly does the job

Report Check-In

Road closed at trail head with tape and pylons.

This is private property. The owners will not harass you for camping there if it doesn't get too busy. If it gets busy the no camping signs will go up. There are so many nice spots on the Island that we can camp but please keep them quiet or we will loose them.
