Description

Informal campground on both sides of Cascade River Road. Half mile from the bridge when you turn on Cascade River Road. The sites on the river are more suitable for tent camping, the camp on the left is better for RVs. Has vault toilets no power no water. $10 per night collected by the owner named Bob. Decent place to stay.

Awesome site! $15/night and absolutely stunning. Owner is lovely. Porta potty toilet. We fit riverside with two vans in one spot. Big RVs could likely fit otherwise the field on the other side of road would easily fit a vehicle of any size (field on otherside only costs $10/night). No noise and beautiful river for fresh dip. No one else in the camp so easy to arrive at any time during late August.

Beautiful campground. Paid $15 for one night. I think you can call for a reservation but I got here at 8:00 the first Friday in June and there were about 7-10 spots open. Small rigs and tents only. You can get a short trailer or a van in here but nothing bigger. Bathroom is a porta-potty. Over all I would recommend this campground.

as of 8/27/22 it's $15usd to stay at a camp site here or $10had to stay at the grass lot across the street.

we didn't stay here - all the river spots were taken and the other spots are tiny and no access to the river.

The check in about the homeless gypsy camp is the wrong spot. The location is wrong on the map, which led to that person's confusion. The correct location is 48.527, -121.417. If you search for Cascade Wagon Road Campground in Google Maps it is very close to the right spot (slightly past the driveway). There are a few really nice spots along the river you could get a van, or maybe small trailer in. There are a few more nice spots for tents on the river. The open field across the street works for everything bigger, it's just a little lumpy. At 6pm on a Saturday night at the end of July there are plenty of spots, but apparently they were close to full yesterday at the same time. Bob said they've never turned anybody away though. They will always find a spot to cram you in somewhere if you're in a pinch.

I recommend this decent little campground by the river. It is definitely NOT a homeless encampment, though there is a place a mile or so away that could look like that. Maybe the one person confused this for that area?

We stayed here July 4th and 5th. Spots directly on the river are the best but other spots are pretty nice too. All are flat and easy to park in unless you have a huge rig. Large RVs should park in the field directly across from the main area by the river. The biggest downsides are less than stellar porta-potties for bathrooms and no potable water.
This is a great option when the campgrounds in the park are full though.

Drove by this spot. Looks a lot like a homeless gypsy encampment. I would not stay there.

Great little campground. Owner stopped by to collect $10 for stay. Super nice. Not crowded. Nice sites. Would recommend.
