Something not right?

Description

Two parking places at St. Anne's Shrine at the north end of the island on Shrine Road which become West Shore Road. Island is at north end of Lake Champlain between NYS and VT. There are toilets at the shrine visitor center but they aren't open very much each day. It's right on the water and you can swim at the beach. It's a great bike ride around the island (12.5 miles) with stops at two historic geological sites, Fisk Quarry Preserve and Goodsell Ridge Preserve. They have the oldest biologically diverse reef in the history of life on earth. If there is room in the larger lot on the property, big rigs could fit. It may be busy in the summer but things pretty much close down after Labor Day so very few people around when we were there.

Latest Check-Ins

No overnight parking allowed. Must go to the designated campground nearby.

Report Check-In

I found out later that they do not allow any overnight camping or parking on their property. There is an RV park and a campground on the island so check out Sunset Rock RV park or Lakehurst Campground.
