Description

Nice site for one rig and a couple of tents.Amazing views of Linville Gorge. This site is right off of Old NC 105 so had some traffic late into the night. Has fire ring.

Road is washboarded in some places but if you have any experience driving on mountain roads out west you won’t think anything of it.

Nice spot with a beautiful view! Very windy in the night!

Report Check-In

Adding this in for the ATT people. 2-3 bars of ATT at this specific site ranging between 15-40 Mbps download. You go thru a pocket of bad service on the way up here but this site has good signal and it’s mostly sunny with a couple of tree to hammock. Good for a hang and a charge on Solar. I walked up here from my site below and someone left a fire unattended like a dumb@ss - people you have to put out fires and you have to pick up trash. This is the type of crap that gets places shut down. Be smart

Note: The Teardrop is actually level in this pic. ✅. See pic for detail…

Yes! One vehicle and not very level, but it works for a teardrop with 3 leveling jacks. Memorial Day Weekend, so let the fun begin!

Report Check-In

Nice views and fire ring with log to put your feet up on if you got chairs. Ground wasn’t too even but doable in a tent

Report Check-In

Great view with level-enough spot for my van. Nice area with a fire ring and a short private trail from campsite to a rock outcropping overlooking the lake with views of the mountains to the west. This is an old burn area so keep your eye on the trees you park near. They must've redone the dirt road because while there are a few mild washboard sections, the road is fine now if you take it slow. There are some incredible views up and down this dirt road! I've spent a night at several of them. I've spent almost 14 days here and there's been about 10 cars a day during the week and many cars passing on weekends. 5G service on both Verizon and Sprint/Tmobile with Verizon having a stronger signal.

Great sunsets. Bumpy ground, but can find level spot for at least one vehicle
