Talked to the security manager, they are no longer willing to/ able to accept over night guest for security reason.

Report Check-In

We paid 30,000tsh for 2ppl and a Landcruiser and enjoyed the lake views a lot. We saw some otters swimming in the water, as well as kingfishers. We passed a very peaceful night here. The guard prepared a fire for us, as it was getting quite cold in the evening. Clean ablutions with a hot donkey shower in the evening and morning. Recommended to stop over here!

Report Check-In

Price now 40,000TZS for vehicle with 2, collected as soon as we set up. Nice lake, friendly welcome in the evening.
Gate was closed and said members only, but no problem entering and eventually found the guard.
At 7am (Sat morning) came a truck and set up a sound system with generator and 2m tall speakers. played it so our camper walls shook and vibrated while we obviously were still sleeping. took a while to get someone's attention, and when I asked if they could wait an hour before blasting their music, I received rude jokes and obscene sounds as an answer.
Not sure how often this happens, but we certainly can't recommend this place.

Beautiful place originally and still a sailing club. The caretaker Dixon let us in and also opened the club house in case it rained.. Shower with donkey for hot water and toilet. Charcoal for sale and great braii area with sink. Great lawn not too flat for RTT or geoumd tent. Shade also available. Paid 15k rzs pppn. Idealic for rwlaxing just on the lake shores. GURU and OMS do not show the lake exits but will get you here. On google we were sent a vwry long way of Mfidi through forest tree cutting plants and charcoal fields. Very busy with trucks aand long drive on not so good road, ok for 4x4.

Very peaceful and beautiful campsite, nothing to add to what others have written. Warm during the day, perfectly cool at night. Toilets and shower are clean. Big rig friendly. Access road is pretty muddy. When we went, it had rained, but it was still perfectly doable for all sorts of vehicles. Not sure what it will be like once the rains get stronger.

Beautifully located campsite right next to the lake. Caretaker around to make fire at night and light the donkey for the shower. He also unlocked the lake house where we could stay during the rains. Beautiful sunsets and quiet at night. Would have stayed longer, but it got quite cold during the day because of the rains.

Report Check-In

If you like a quiet, remote campsite with a beautiful view and sunset on a lake, pay a visit. Has an old colonial lake house to sit dry inside in case of rain, a nice jetty and an ablutions block. The guard will make you a big bonfire at night. Used to be built by British colonials, then was part of Unilever, who sold it this November ‘21 to an investment fund.

Report Check-In

Delightful campsite. Lovely perspective. Good ablutions block. Stayed 5 nights. TSH15,000 pppn.

PS On last day another visitor told us that only people invited by a member could camp. But I don't think this rule is upheld.

Report Check-In

very quiet place. Good for swimming and canoeing. Only on Sunday busy. Highly recommended.
