Description

We found this spot while checking out BLM Land.
You cannot sleep on the BLM land but you can sleep in the snake river canyon park. There is a sign that says dispersed camping. When you turn in off the 93 there is a BLM sign that says its only a day use area. But if you drive past the sign over the cow grates on the left is the snake River Canyon in Spark dispersed camping. It has a large sign. One site has a pavilion and the road is a dirt road that isn’t the best. It’s a short distance to the pavilion and you can park right there.

Latest Check-Ins

No camping in Snake Canyon at all, in any spots. We stayed further down the road and got a knock with a stern warning. Be advised.

Nice and quiet. I’m not sure if I’m technically allowed to be here, since I did see all the dawn to dusk signs though...

Report Check-In

This place is permanently closed.

Report Check-In

This place appears to no longer allow dispersed camping. The sign bank shown in the pictures still exists but the dispersed camping sign has been removed from the frame.

Easy to find in the dark. Don’t need 4wheel drive. Great spot to sleep, wake up and see the falls, then continue on your way! We could hear the road as it got busier in the morning around 8/9 am, but no noise during the night (we we’re inside our van, not a tent).

Report Check-In

Dispersed Camping throughout the edge of the gorge. Used 4x4 because of the snow, but other than that got through okay.

Report Check-In

If you don’t feel comfortable driving to the nearby “Epic Cliff” site nearby (the road is a bit rough) then this is for you. Good gravel parking. One covered picnic bench. And plenty of space. Nothing else.

Report Check-In

Stopped in here to check it out and there’s absolutely no view and it’s right on top of the US 93 which is noisy all night long. There’s also a spot directly across on a dirt pad. I ended up staying at the other campsite with the spectacular view but extremely rough road. There are other campsites to the left and right just off the road that are farther away from the 93 that are good for a few nights

Report Check-In

Stayed last night right on the edge overlooking two waterfalls.

Report Check-In

Open area for camping. There’s a picnic table and a grill area. Room for several vehicles but currently we’re the only ones here. No shade and definitely hot and breezy, but only minutes from town and the sites.

Report Check-In

I’m glad I ignored the reviews and came anyway. It’s just a big open space but literally 5 minutes from the Shoshone Falls Visitors Center and town. You couldn’t be closer to all the sites. Hang out in town during the day and camp here at night. No services but I see a picnic table and BBQ pit here.

Report Check-In

Dusty little stopover. All dirt. Nothing scenic about this place except the LDS Temple off in the distance. Since it is a parking lot to a ORV park there were some mud boggers pretty late into the night.
