Extremely secluded parking lot for trail head (tunk stream campsite). Parking lot is only big enough for 2-3 vehicles. Dead end road. Parked in the trees. Area is part of Donnell Pond Public Lands.

Great spot! Three level back in spots for probably at most a 19’ sprinter. We had a beautiful hike to the lake in the morning
Report Check-InThis was a GREAT free campsite. Very secluded. About 15-20 miles or 30-35 mins from Ellsworth. 50 mins from the Acadia National Park entrance. There is a sign on the road that marks the trail/road. My husband and I took our class B camper van up there. I do not recommend anything larger. The dirt road/trail is mostly flat, but there is a decently steep and rocky part right near the beginning. After that its smooth sailing. There are three spots off the dirt/gravel road to pull in too. No amenities at all. Just free land. Very quiet. I do not recommend trying to find at night as the road is very hard to spot and its pitch black. Finally, the past reviews that stated that there is a small parking place for 2-3 cars was very misleading for my husband and I. It's really just some extra gravel on the side of the road to pull into. Those reviews made finding the spot harder for us. Luckily, as I said before, there is a sign for the Tunk Stream Campsite which helped us find it.
Report Check-InStayed here 3 nights in a row camping in a class B van. Short and smooth dirt road with a few pull offs to tuck into. Saw 1 other person camping one night and some hikers another night. Quiet and unbothered other than that. Located in Maine Public Reserve Land. Would recommend.
Report Check-InA few pull off spots along this road. Good for a night passing through.
Report Check-InReally secluded and nice. Right next to a small campground with a fire pit and a few gravely tent spots (hard to stake). Lots of small pullouts along the dirt road
Report Check-InShowed up about 10pm. Was another vehicle. A couple came hiking out of the trail around 11pm. Then had the place to myself. Left in afternoon. Not much shade. One small section at begging had steep rocky climb about 20ft long. Might need a running start, but the rest of the road is nice gravel. Couple spots to pick from.
Report Check-InLocation is a small parking lot 3ish vehicles) for a walk-in campsite at the end of an unmaintained dirt road. We backed our va into a deep pull off on the right on the access road. very quiet, difficult to imagine any problems spending the night here.
