Pretty good spot just off a little used forest service road. Spot here has some good tent spots and with rocks we could level our camper. Only space for one or two. Lots of sun, high tension wires, easy walk to the creek. Another large spot just up the road but it gets steep and narrow so didn’t think it was worth it to continue farther.

Made it up Peru Creek Road in 170 sprinter but couldn’t turn on to forest road listed here because a high creek crossing with a slope. Ended up staying at a numbered dispersed site next to Chihuahua Lake TH. The road up has loooots of big potholes like mentioned but we only scraped once so guess it’s not that bad :)
Report Check-InForest Service put up dispersed camping signs. 14 day limit. Plenty of open sites on a Thursday night, but hard to park more than one car at any site.
Report Check-InGreat location. After the turn off, 1.8 miles in, there are lots of sites. Look to the left. There are roads that go into big flat sites. I have low clearance, so I did not go there. I found one right off the road with great views.
The road is very potholed, but doable even with low clearance van. Quiet at night, fantastic stars.
