Latest Check-Ins

The surrounding area has been burned, presumably for fuel reduction. A small area around the lake is unburned but the majority is covered in ash and it’s quite smoky. Looks like a great spot under normal circumstances though!

Report Check-In

Stayed here last night and will be staying again. The road in to this area is well maintained and hard packed. Even with all of the rain recently I have been able to pull up and park near the first campfire remains with no issue. Updating here to let you know that there is a $5 day use fee for the nearby campground and $10 fee for overnight camping. I may stay over there tomorrow night with the heavier rain coming in. I strategically placed myself here to avoid flood zones and the ice storm warning for northern and central Texas. Nobody has driven by in the 24 hours that I've been here. Plenty of room for the dog to run. Also enough cell service to get some work done and upload photos to Instagram/Facebook, make phone calls, emails. Highly recommend. Private and feels safe.
