Something not right?

Description

Quiet campground with an interesting river/waterfall area and decent hiking. $6 pp entry fee, $20 campsite per night. Has both basic and water/electric campsites. Swimming and tubing permitted after a certain point in the river. Some hiking markers are unclear, so double check from both directions; but most trails aren't too far from the road so it's not too stressful to get lost (I got lost twice and then found my way back pretty easily). Public wifi next to the dump station for some reason, search google.com first to get the sign in screen.

Latest Check-Ins

Love this place. Campsites in the electric area are nicely spaced and private. Well maintained. The waterfall area is unique, more of a wash area with slick rock and clear waters. So far I have Verizon 5G but not much for speed. AT&T faded in and out, can't open a website. Lots of hiking trails but I'm just passing thru so only hiked about 6 miles. No complaints

Only park with availability on 4th of July. Would not recommend the primitive campsite, unless you’re hardcore. Was kinda brutal. Other campsites with electric and water available.
Swimming area of the river is absolutely amazing. Spent most of our time there.

Great TX State Park that can be difficult to get a reservation.

Gate is closed from Noon to 2pm. If you have an RV reservation you'll need to email the park. Email is listed at the gate or just plan on arriving after 2pm which is normal check-in. Cell service is spotty unless you have a booster. Great hiking, but bring water.
