Latest Check-Ins

Arrived on a Saturday afternoon and found the area only about 1/3 full. Several sites with established flat pads for RV/trailer and some sites had tent pads too. Other sites are more primitive with short uneven access/parking and rocky ground.
There is also a singe group camp site with a large open lot.

If the campground is full there are a few primitive camp sites farther down the road. The road ends 2 miles past the campground. At the end of the road is a tight turnaround loop that'll be no problem for for vans and trucks but may be difficult for trailers. Consider dropping the trailer the picnic area (near the campground) and scouting the road and turnaround points.

AT&T cell signal using an iPhone 14. Bounced between LTE and 5G. Calls and texting were no problem, Data speeds slow but enough for email and light internet browsing. With a better antenna or booster could probably have steady 5G.

super beautiful spot. crowded right now but still quiet, and some of the sites are pretty private, which is nice. very much recommend!

Report Check-In

Most of the sites are very level. Vault toilet was filthy. Water appeared to be from a hand pumped well, but I didn't try it. Verizon and ATT reception were very good. Unmodified Ford Transit made it easily through the fire roads to get to the campground. Overall, would definitely stay here again.

Nice free national forest campground. Looks like a couple people have "abandoned camp" and left their trash, but most of the sites are clean. Water pump doesn't seem to be functional, but pit toilets are open

Report Check-In

Nice free place to camp. Spent one night here passing through, no complaints. Water was shut off, maybe due to the season.
